PANZERCHRIST: Studio/Lineup Update
March 5, 2006Danish extreme metallers PANZERCHRIST have entered the studio to begin recording their new album, "Batallion Beast". The band have issued the following update on the progress of the CD's recording sessions:
"Guitars, drums and bass are all done. Reno [Kiilerich, drums; DIMMU BORGIR, VILE, DEW-SCENTED] did an excellent job, as usual. Everything has up to now been recorded at Smart 'n Hard studios with Jakob Bredahl. Vocals and keyboards will be recorded later this month at Zigsound with Ziggy who will also mix the album. Dea [Lillelund; also in FAIRYTALE ABUSE] is no longer a member of PANZERCHRIST. She has been replaced by Karina Bundgaard, who played bass on 'Soulcollector'."
PANZERCHRIST's follow-up to 2003's "Room Service" (Mighty Music) will apparently contain lyrics written entirely in German, according to a posting on the band's web site. A late spring/summer release through Neurotic Records is expected.
